Our Claymation
Wow what to say about our claymation? Well we did our claymation on Vasco Nunez De Balboa. I chose to do my project with Eva. This entry will tell you about our experience with this project.
My favorite part of the project was doing the computer editing and molding the clay. Eva did most of the picture taking. We both molded the clay people and other things. Eva was the one who made our boat. She made it out of card board paper and toothpicks. We had to put a clay piece behind it so it wouldn't fall over. After we used it for our second scene it's a good thing we didn't have to use it again because it got crushed in the bag we put it in. I liked putting all the pictures on the computer. Adding music and dialog was the best part of that. Eva didn't like using the computer it never agreed with her.
One of the most difficult things for me was taking pictures. Every time I took pictures for our scene at least three of the pictures was blurry. Sometimes the sun outside the window would also go behind a cloud and the lighting of the picture would change. Another difficult part of this project was making the boat. Eva eventually made the real boat but I attempted it first. My boat would not stand up for more than twenty seconds. The sails kept falling off, they were so flimsy. One of the hard parts (it wasn't that hard) was molding the clay. The only hard thing to make out of clay was the dog because every leg and the head had to have toothpicks through the middle. It was also the size of all the people.
The most important things I learned in this project were how to really use iMovie. Before we started this project I knew how to use iMovie because I did a project with it in sixth grade. When we started this project I had forgotten some of the things I knew in sixth grade. Throughout our whole project I did most of the computer work. So eventually I remembered most of the stuff about iMovie. Another thing I learned in this project was how to mold people and other things out of clay. Learning how to make people and boats and other things out of clay was a good thing to learn. It was difficult to figure out how to make them just right so they would stand and stay standing. After awhile you just know which way to bend the person to make it balance out. That is what I learned doing this project.

The Nutcracker
Every year I dance in the Nutcracker. This year is the sixteenth season of it. There are some other kids at this school that are in it to. This year my parts are a fairy, a maid, and a flower. My favorite part is being a fairy, beig a maid is'nt so bad you just have to do a lot of acting. The story of the Nutcracker is, there is a girl named Clara and on Christmas her family has a big party. As a preasant her uncle gives her a nutcracker. That night the nutcracker comes to life and he has to fight the rat king in Clara's house. He then takes her to a place where flowers come to life and faries are everywhere. Eventually though Clara had to return home. Thats the basic summary of the story theres actually a lot more to it. Every year it's not exactly the same we try to add something different every year.

My 13th Birthday Party
On my 13th Birthday my friend Taylor threw me a surprise birthday party. My mom just randomly suggested that we should go to the beach one day. I really didnt want to go I just wanted to sit on my butt and watch T.V.
Taylor had told me she would be in Oregon som birthday party was supposed to be next week. When we reached the beach and I saw all my friends there including Taylor I was really mad because I thought she had lied to me. But when they all said !SURPRISE! my brin didnt process fast enough so when Taylor took a picture " surprised " face it was more like a "What the heck is going on?" face. After I finally figured out what was going on, we all went and played in the water. After that, Connor, Zack and Cameron all got the slide at the park wet, and slid down on the floaty things (They crashed at the bottom) while the rest of us took pictures. Me, Taylor, and Amelia actually tried it. When it was over, all the girls came and spent the night at my house. It was the best birthday party i ever had.

All Tharp
All Tharp Is a ballet I went to last Friday for my friend Katie Alice's birthday. It was the first ballet I've ever been to that was over town. When we first got there we had to wait outside the theater in the gift shop (I didn't Know there would be a gift shop especially at a ballet). When we finally got to go in the seating was really cool. There were floor seats and then two more sets up above that, there were also some box seats on the sides. We sat in the floor seats which had a really good view of the stage.
There were three totally different parts to the ballet. The first part the dancers were on point. It was "interesting" the dancers were dressed in different earthy colors. That dance was like 5 to 10 minutes long. After that dance there was an intermission. We all went up to the lounge and hung out for awhile. There was also some food up in the lounge, we all dared each other to try the different types of weird cheeses.
The next dance they did was my favorite it was called Afternoon Ball (don't ask me why it was called that because it was nothing like an afternoon ball). In this dance the people were trying to be funny and it worked. I don't know what story they were trying to tell but I think it might be, one guy had a girl and this other guy was trying to get her attention and when he did the girl ran off with him (this is the sad part) the other guy like got all depressed because he couldn't dance with the girl anymore then he died. Ya I no kind of a weird way to plan out a story that's supposed to be funny.
Then the third and final part of the ballet was a bunch of different pairs of people ballroom dancing. I have to say this part was really boring all the ballroom dances were pretty much the same just with different music. One girl got the heal of her shoe stuck in her dress but she got it off. The only thing I really liked about the last dances was that there was a disco ball.

My Trip to Australia
When I was 11 my family and I went to Australia. We have friends that live in Sydney so we went and stayed with them for two weeks. I took a flight from here to California that took two hours, then we took a twelve to fourteen hour flight all the way to Sydney. When we got to our friends' house the first thing we did was take their dogs Paris and Jasper to the dog park. The dog park was a huge fenced in circle that you could go into, let your dog off its leash and play. We went there quite a few times during our trip. For about half our trip we went and toured the different parts of Sydney, but to get there we had to take a train and on the second day of sight seeing we went without one of our friends named Grant. So on our way back home we asked one of the guys at the station which train would take us back where we had come from, and you know how Australians have that weird accent well the guy had told us to get on the wrong train and we went all the way to a town called Doonside. We did that twice on accident, but the second time there was a really creepy drunk guy who was yelling at the top of his lungs at random people. Anyway one of the days we went to a wildlife preserve. There we got to feed kangaroos and pet koalas. First we pet the koalas and they, I promise, are the worst smelling things on the planet (but I like them anyway). The kangaroos we got to pet were really fat because you can buy food to feed them and none of them would eat because they were so full. Another day on our trip we went on this speed boat thing that would take you out in the bay and go really fast then you would count down 3, 2, 1! and the driver would make the boat spin around once and repeat that like four times. On the last day in Australia I was really sad and didn't want to leave because that meant about a fourteen hour plane ride and it would be rainy and cold at home. Otherwise I had lots of fun in Australia.

My Life Graph
This is a picture of my life graph here is an article about one of the things that is listed on it.
Last year in May me and my whole dance company went to Long Beach, California for a R.D.A (Regional Dance America) festival. It was my second year being a junior in the company and my first time going to a festival. On the first day there were like 65 kids in one dance studio about 60 girls and 5 boys I,m not exactly sure, but anyway it,s kind of hard to dance around the room without smacking someone in the face which happened to a few people (it was kind of funny). When we would go to have lunch which was kind of like eating hot lunch at school (there was just better food) the line was so long it wrapped all the way around the building where they held the food it was crazy you had to like run out of class to get even remotely close to the front of the line.
Every night after we went back to the hotel everyone would wear dresses and go to the colleges theater and watch some of the different companies dance, every night there would be different performances from different dancers. Each night the food would be a different theme one night it was Mexican, the second it was Chinese, and the third we went to the beach. The hotel we decided not to stay in that all the other dancers had to was horrible. There was a flight of stairs that had a sign next to it that pretty much said if you are injured or die by going down these stairs the hotel was not responsible, but it wasn't crossed off or anything so if you couldn't read or didn't see the sign you might die. You never wanted to look at the ceiling because there was cracks and this weird brown stuff all over it. The food we had there was pretty bad but it could have been worse i don't think I had ever actually been afraid to eat before then, but at least we didn't have to sleep there.
Elensberg Rodeo
This summer i went to the Elensberg Rodeo. It was so windy i don't see how anyone can live there. But anyway we watched the Xtreme Bulls one night our seats were the second row back. It was kind of creepy when all the bulls ran right in front of us. All of the judges stand in the arena near where the bull is going crazy and if the bull ever comes near them their supposed to climb the arena wall, well one judge was standing in the arena and the bull was like a foot away and so he climbed up the wall a little ways but the bull decided he wasn't up high enough and rammed him in the butt and all most flipped him over the top of the railing. The rest of the rodeo he climbed all the way up the wall if a bull ever came near.
The next day we went to the broncos it wasn't as exciting as the bulls. The broncs never wanted to go back into the pen when they were done being ridden and it took like ten minutes in between each ride just waiting for the horses to leave. We know some people who work at the rodeo and i got to go see where they keep all the famouse bucking horses (broncos). That was my trip to the Elensberg Rodeo.
