School is almost over!
I can't believe this school year is almost over! Finally summer break well i guess it's not that much of a break cause I'm going to be dancing all summer. I can't wait till the graduation dance or graduation. We're all going to High School next year! But I'm going to miss the middle school it's my favorite because it's so old.
Anyway back to summer, this summer I get to go to Bellvue for two weeks with one of my friends from dance. We get to take classes at a dance program called CCC (Craft and Choreography Conference). It's the last year that the company will be in Seattle. We both also got scholarships to go there! We're really excited. For the rest of the summer though I'm just ready to relax and do absolutely nothing! No more projects, no more homework, and especially no more waking up early! I really hope this summer is a lot warmer than last year. It's already gotten pretty warm so I'm sure it will be fine. Only two weeks left!!

Self Evaluation Presentation Questions
Did you stand up straight but stay relaxed?
Towards the end Stood straighter than I had in the beggining. But most of the time I rocked back and forth from one foot to the other.
Did you pause for a moment before you began your speech?
Yes, I did pause before I started my speech. When I saw everyone looking at me kind of like "well are you going to start or not" then I started.
Did you look at your audience?
Yes I did look at my audience at first mostly I looked at Phalen Because she was the only one smiling. After that though I stared kind of over everyone.
Did you let your facial expressions naturally reflect what you were saying?
I used a few facial expressions whenever I was talking about something that happened to Calamity Jane. When I talked about her side jobs though i didn't use very many facial expressions.
Did you use your hands?
Most of the time my hands were at my sides. The only time I really used them was when I called on someone to answer a question.
Did you speak loudly enough so that everyone could hear you?
I spoke loud enough for everyone to hear. Louder than my regular voice but not yelling at them.
Did you change your tone to show how you felt (upset, excited) about an idea or to emphasize a point?
Not really my voice stayed about the same most of the time. I should do that more in my next presentation.
Was your speed of delivery too fast, too slow or just right?
I think it was just right because it was about four minutes long maybe.
Did you practice your speech at home before giving it?
I practiced it once up in the apartment while talking to Eva. I also practiced once at home.
What did you notice that you did well in your speech?
I didn't have to look back at my slides too much. I also didnt forget to mention any of the answers to my questions.
Describe one aspect of public speaking you will work to improve?
I need to improve in changing the sound of my voice to show how I feel about something.

Spring Break!
I know spring break hasn't happened yet but it's going to be so great! We get a whole 2 weeks out of school! I have plans to go camping in my grandparent's new trailer. Which wont be much like camping at all because it's pretty much like a miniature house. Me and my sister have our own bunk beds. Usually when we go camping we go up by ocean shores it's so much fun. We go down to the beach and find sand dollars. Sand dollars are this cool round shell that has a picture on the bottom that looks like a flower. When you let them dry out these little miniature shells come out of the inside those are called doves because well they look like doves. Anyway whenever we go down to the beach it's really cold. But this year we are going up to a place in Washington thats near Canada. I've never been there before so it should be really fun. My grandma said that the campgrounds were really nice. So it probably wont be much like actual camping but thats ok at least i get to go somewhere!

Dear Abby
Abby, I know you like everyone, especially my sister,
more than me
But I do deserve some credit
I feed you every morning
I play with you when I have time
I pet you when you sit near me
I even let you on the couch when mom isn't home
I no that I'm busy a lot
and sometimes your left alone
I'm sure you can't understand this
and this poem is just a waste
But it makes me as sad a weeping willow
when your run to my sister and not me
more than me
But I do deserve some credit
I feed you every morning
I play with you when I have time
I pet you when you sit near me
I even let you on the couch when mom isn't home
I no that I'm busy a lot
and sometimes your left alone
I'm sure you can't understand this

when your run to my sister and not me

This is Just to Say
Dear, Eva
I'm guessing you wanted those jelly beans
That I just ate
Since they were hidden deep in your lunch box
I'm sure you didn't want to share
I always steal all your food
You never seem to mind
Jelly beans are your favorite though
Because they are as sweet as honey
But next time.... you should get the sour kind
I'm guessing you wanted those jelly beans
That I just ate
Since they were hidden deep in your lunch box
I'm sure you didn't want to share
I always steal all your food
You never seem to mind
Jelly beans are your favorite though
Because they are as sweet as honey
But next time.... you should get the sour kind

I am a shiny diamond necklace
I am always there
But some times you can't see
I guide you when you don't know the way
I live an endless number of years
Yet i die like everyone else
what am I?

Sci-Fi Monster " Uno"
>>>>>>>>>>>>>______Elli's Version_____<<<<<<<<<<<< >>>>>>>>>>>>______Sean's Version______<<<<<<<<<<<<
My science fiction monster’s name is Uno because he only has one eye right in the center of his head. On top of his head there are two large horns. The horns are as red as tomatoes. There are also four miniature horns on the outside of the two larger horns. Uno’s head is as purple as a grape and is completely covered in fur. Uno’s mouth is small and round. His tongue is
completely covered in green acid. He has a tongue shaped like a snakes and is as yellow as the sun. His arms are bright orange. He has three fingers on each hand and they are webbed like frog feet. He has two curved triangle shaped wings. Each of them have three thin stripes of green going through them and is outlined in the same color green, then are blue the rest of the way through. The tail Uno has is like a dragons. It is dark blue and has green spikes along the top. Uno has two bright pink legs with dark brown splotches all over them. He only has three toes on each foot. That is what the picture of my monster Uno looks like.

Mexico!!
Guess what! I missed almost all the snow because I was in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I was in Mexico for seven days. When i was there we went into town and did a few touristy things but we mainly stayed by the pool and were thinking about how cold it was at home. One of the things we did while we were in Mexico was my sister, my mom, my grandma and me, got to swim with dolphins. The dolphin we swam with was a girl and her name was Freeda. She is eleven years old. We got to swim out into the middle of the pool and wait for her to come to us then we had to grab onto her fin and she would pull us back to where the rest of the group was. We also got to "dance" with them, which you really just hold onto their front fins and shake your body (they do most of the dancing). The last thing we did was we all went and sat on the edge of the pool and watch them do all kinds of jumps and flips, oh and I forgot to mention that there are actually about eight dolphins. I also went on a buggie tour. We went and drove through part of Mexico's desert and we got to go to an old town that only forty people live in. The last thing we did was we went snorkeling. My family and I got onto a catamaran and took a trip to a nearby beach and we snorkeled for an hour. All the fish were really colorful, my favorite fish is a parrot fish the swim so cool they flap their fins like wings! Well after we got to the hotel from snorkeling we had to go home the next day. But my trip to Mexico was awesome!
